got to the crystal ballroom with rachel, nick and michelle. i had box office tix so i was good, but they were hunting scalpers. some guys were selling 1 tix for 80-100 bucks so they were like fuck that. michelle gave up her tix she scalped and rachel, nick and i went in. bought blue tour shirt. heard NUFAN play, recogized 3 or so songs. they played justified black eye. didn't get close to the stage really. el hefe joined them for a song with trumpet. nofx played from 11ish. really were just what i expected. melvin played shirtless with green(?) dreads, hefe and fat mike in shorts and t's, smelly in wife-beater. fat mike's t was beat up cramps shirt. played Welcome to Jamrock as they took the stage. i was holding both my sweater and jacket with shit stuffed in all pockets up towards the front on the non-drinking side. they had the place split down the middle all the way to the stage. crap. i didn't bother getting a drink there. i shouted along with as long as my lungs would hold out; which was not very long. there might have been 1 song i didn't know of there's, but they played Radio, Eat the Meek, Stickin in my Eye, See Her Pee, Dinosaurs Will Die, Pharmacist's Daughter, I'm Telling Tim, Soul Doubt, Bob, Seeing Double at The Triple Rock, Leaving Jesus Land, Instant Classic, half sorta of the New Happy Birthday Song, What Now My Love the herb alpert song with hefe on trombone, Murder The Gov't, Fuck The Kids, and The Decline which felt like it was over in 5 mins not 18.
the banter was there like i'd heard before. mike and hefe mostly. mike said shit about being on pills, hefe was getting drunk (both he and mike's drinks i saw, dunno about other 2) cracks about don't go to a nofx show if you belive in god and people who belive in satan are only that much better than christians, at least they have fun xtians just have the turn the other cheek thing.
sweated my ass off in my white t, soaked like i would be in the fuckin pit. feet sore and bashed. shoes were scuffed, pushed from the mid left front to far left. hefe played my side of the stage with fat mike in the middle in front of smelly and melvin on far right.
